This is a replica of an 1857 Civil War Cannon. This model nicknamed 'Napoleon' was the most popular one used throughout the American Civil War. This particular weapon was one of the most important pieces of the conflict that supposedly made up almost 40% of the ordinance of the artillery. It was widely admired for its safety, reliability and efficiency particularly in short ranges.
